Why so people say they have seen me?
Well, when someone looks at a face, the brain takes in alot of small signals and reflections of light, which brings color, texture, and deepness of facial features into play. So I can imagine, that to make it more reasonable, the brain would remember features that would stand out, (i.e. a mole)as opposed to a very small detail. In fact, if you opened your eyes, and looked around the room for 1 second, it would take a computer many years to process what you have just seen fully. So it would only be logical to ume that the brain breaks down faces, for convenience. This is comparable to fingerprints, when forensic investigators examine minutae(details that stand out in a fingerprint) in a set of prints.
