Can I take cles to prepare for grad school?

Is there typically a way to take introductory cles for a graduate program? I have my bachelor's degree and now I want to go for a related master's degree, but I think there may be some cookie-cutter courses I need to get out of the way. Can I start knocking out credits, before I enter a program, by taking night cles or something?
