What makes everyone think lady gaga is original?

I like Lady GaGa's voice. She does have some talent, but when talent alone got her no where in her career she decided to step it up and create a personna. I know she isn't original...I am old enough to have seen Dale Bozzio from Missing Persons in videos, and remember Grace Jones' crazy styles. But some of her fans are new and don't know and don't seem to care that she has taken a little bit of this and a little bit of that from the past and applied to herself. I guess time will tell if she can sustain the popularity she is experiencing right now.
