What can one do to be safe from a severe asthma attack?

i have found that the main things that helped me(this will not be the same for everyone)were the following.any allergies you have may bring about an attack,climate affects me -cold damp weather is not favourable-i now live by the sea and my asthma is better,areas where there is a high volume of traffic affects me,also try some changes to the food you eat-i no longer drink squash(in the uk this is concentrated fruit drink-just incase its called something else where you are) as this clogs up my throat affecting my breathing.also take your preventer without fail although this may be easy to forget or seem like it doesnt do anything it does work.good luck
