Is it fair for MIL to give one DIL $2500 shower and crib and give other DIL 2 picture frames?

My MIL had three boys and two are married. She threw my SIL a $2500 baby shower at a wedding reception hall with catered food and 100 guests and also gave her a $500 crib. This isn't even her daughter, but her DIL. She gave me (the other DIL) just two picture frames (no shower) when I had my awesome daughter. When my daughter turned 1, she gave her $40 and then left for 3 hours to give SIL savings bond, two outfits and a drum toy for her unborn child. My hubby (her son) does not work and stays home to take care of our wonderful daugher while I work. I have never complained to MIL, but it irks me when SIL asks what I got from MIL and her response is always "is that it? I'm sure she'll give me more." How do I address this? MIL can give as she pleases, but I dread these comments from SIL because some day, my daughter will hear them too.
