Do I need to wipe my hard drives OS if I want to use it as a secondary hard drive?

I just bought a OCZ Vertex 3 solid state drive and I want to use that as my primary hard drive, I already have a WD Black Caviar 1TB hard drive with windows 7 on it, do I need to uninstall windows 7 off my WD Black Caviar hard drive if I want to use it as my secondary drive? I wish to store anything I can't fit on my SSD on this second drive. Thank you :D
